Check Out My Cute Custom Folk Art Owl!

I'll get to posting some crafts that "real" kids and moms, even soccer moms like me, can create!  But I happenned across these talented twin sisters and they trumped my original post.

I feel so lucky to have found Cortney and Kirsten, the Twin Indie Artists from Sabattus, Maine, who created my very own paper clay folk art "Indie" Owl -- this is a work-in-process pic, isn't he adorable?

From request to final product, they put this little guy together in no time and involved me in the process with convos, sketches, and pictures every step of the way.  No molds were involved -- my  "Indie" is handmade and one of a kind.  As they say with their creations, he's rustic and non-perfect which adds to his charm!

Cortney and Kirsten each have their own etsy shops as well as their combined efforts at http://www.indigotwin.etsy.com/.  Check out their adorable creatures: owls, snowmen, people, and heart sentiment sculptures - they custom create pretty much anything for you!

Cortney's other shop, http://www.bluehandcreative.etsy.com/   showcases her original art pieces, prints, and notecards.  Kirsten's Pottery, Tile Art, Linoleum Prints and Jewelry can be found at http://www.indigocrow.etsy.com/.

Love the owls of course, but really am inspired to see these sisters pursuing a dream together!  For those with sisters (or friends like sisters) give them a shout today!

What's next?  I've found a super cool new site where I am designing my own "Indie" fabric, FUN -- you can too!
